Three pillars of East coast snowboarding, Killington Resort, Darkside Snowboards and Burton, are hosting a positive snowboard event to bring the East coast boarding community together, to give back, and have a good time.
The Slash and Berm banked slalom is the first of its kind, employing a course that combines steep bank turns and natural freestyle features as it snakes through The Stash, Killington’s signature all-natural terrain park.
“We are stoked to host an event as unique and exciting as The Stash itself, and to bring the East coast community together for a weekend of competition, camaraderie and generosity,” says Jay “Rosey” Rosenbaum, Terrain Parks Supervisor at Killington. “I hope the course we build can lend itself to a fun weekend, all while giving back to a worthy cause.”
A portion of the Slash and Berm proceeds will be donated to The Molly Fund, which was created in memory of Buck Rowlee’s daughter Molly who was lost to cancer. Buck is a beloved member of the East coast snowboard scene and his family uses The Molly Fund to provide financial support to families with a child battling cancer. He will be at the event spreading awareness and the spark of the shred all weekend.
Darkside Snowboards, Killington, and Burton invite all East coast snowboarders to join in the festivities on March 15th. Check Killington.com for details or RSVP on Facebook.
