RIP Chelone Miller

Snowboarding lost another great this weekend. Via Pat Moore:

It is with great sadness that I say rest in peace to an old friend and a true snowboarder, Chelone Miller no matter my mood you always put a smile on my face. Here’s to guinea pigging’ Superpark jumps, always being hyped to shred, and truly caring for your friends. Chelone your legend lives on forever.

Our sources Chelone passed away in his sleep from an epileptic seizure on Sunday, April 7th. He had a history of head injury, including spending 11 days in a Coma in 2005 after a dirtbike accident. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, and TBird puts it all out there better than we ever could here. RIP.

Never met him, but my wife and son rode up a lift with him recently in Mammoth. He spent the ride being kind to my son and complimenting his riding. He made a huge impression in a short period of time. Seems like a super decent guy who lived the way he wanted. RIP.

His riding will scare the crap out of you, his style will put you in a state of awe, and the combination will leave you rewinding. He’ll be missed by the many he met, and by many he didn’t. Hopefully his love of life, adventure and care for others will be passed on by the many that will see his riding, and hear of his personality.
