Snowboarding is weird. On one hand you have a bunch of dirty kids blowing smoke into the camera and wrecking themselves on rails while their buddy makes web videos with his digital elph. And then on the very, very far other side of the spectrum, you have this. Jeremy Jones and Xavier de la Rue risking life and limb for the ultimate extreme of traveling to Antarctica. Of course to do this, they need a full film crew and some U2-esque band to make the soundtrack. And yet, this is technically the same sport.
Now I don’t know about you, but we would never refer to snowboarding as a “meandering, cinematic adventure into the realm of personal obsession and heroic artistic pursuit,” but apparently that’s what Lives Of The Artists: Follow Me Down is. So if this side of snowboarding interests you (which would be odd since you are on this site) then you won’t want to miss it!
