Editor's Note
I would just like to begin by saying that I am utterly embarrassed that the Snowboarder summer issue came out before ours, and then, it ended up being better than ours. I will pretend that if I was making money off this, I would have put more time and effort into finishing it within the 37 days. Since Transworld sucks, and East Infection is no longer, YO BEAT's new inspiration will be Snowboarder. This perhaps, based on the fact that the entire EI team is now on staff, but also because they ran the best joke I've ever read, Q. How many sXe kids does it take to pound a six pack? A. One, if it's Pete Brinkerhoff, care of one Pat Bridges.
I have noticed in actually reading magazines, as opposed to just looking at the pictures, that magazines have a tendency of picking a few pros asses to be up at all times. Eastern Edge is guilty of a Mike Montenaro obsession, and of course Jeremy Baye. Snowboarder rocks out to real pros like Barrett Christy and Todd Richards, and even Jeremy Baye. Fresh and Tasty has never had a cover that didn't include Cara-Beth Burnside, and you can never have too many Cara-Beth interviews. Transworld's not to picky, to get a cover all you have to do is win a European pipe contest. And then of course there is Terje, everyone's a Terje fiend, which is great because he doesn't give a shit about any of them. Through all this I figured it's time for YO BEAT to start claiming. The following is our list of pros we love.
Luke Wynen- This probably is funny to people who know me, but if your scratching your head, there is no one easier to talk shit about, in fact, if you're stuck he will offer his own words of wisdom to use against him.
Terje- He's Terje, he doesn't even have to ride well and everyone still loves him.
Jeremy Baye- Biggest gold chain in the business, so what if he doesn't have a sponsor.
Kyla Duffy- We need a girl, and her dad writes to us.
Okemo Helmet Posse- Petraska, Teeter, Wilson, and Tucker. They're already media sweet hearts, and we wouldn't want to miss out.
For now we may or may not write about these people, but in the future look for such specials reports as Luke Wynen: Women's Razor Review, Jeremy Baye's trick tip: Always Shine Your Boots Before Doing a Mcbaye, and Terje: How Not to Snowboard and Get Paid for It. Oh yeah, and there's not actually snowboarding to write about this issue, so imagine all the pictures with snow, bindings and metal edges.

This issue's bro cal splendor brings you Good Riddance and Lag Wagon. Milo Aukerman: The Nerd King of Punk: If you don't know who Milo Aukerman is, you probably wont care about this interview, but any self-respecting punk fan will appreciate this.
