Yo Beat: Issue 13: The How-To Issue

Vilification

New and exciting this month...let's all make East Coast jokes, as we spent the beginning of December riding on a catrack of dirty ice, while the west coast got dumped on. Okay, enough of that.

The biggest event of the year that no one will admit to caring about is all set to roll. The Vans Triple crown decided the wild card spots for the X Games, and since we have nothing but east coast pride, we're only going to tell you the easties who got in. Rahm Klampert easily acheived 4th place in the halfpipe, securing his spot, Seth Wescott got 3rd in the boardercross, so you'll get to laugh at him wearing a helmet. Sarah Pehrson, who isn't really from the east coast, but she's pretty good at riding halfpipe, so we'll claim her anyway, also received an invite.

It's what, December? The season is going to start anyday now, and already, you've got people nursing injuries. Jaime Macleod had a little trouble with the big air at the Triple Crown, and will be sitting on a pillow while her tailbone heals. Super world champion, or whatever his title is, Bertrand Denervaud also made a mess of himself, breaking an arm and leg and probably some other stuff too. Send him flowers, he's my hero.
