You should advertise for on YO BEAT for the following reasons:
- Yo Beat Magazine has grown from only being read by our parents to
having a strong following and being seen by several hundred people each issue.
- Yo Beat is put out each month by people who actually snowboard.
- Yo Beat was listed in Snowboarder Magazine "The
#1 selling snowboard magazine in the world " as a source for up-to-date East Coast
information.
- Yo Beat was mentioned in Blunt (R.I.P.) and was TWsnow.com's
random link of the day.
- We are linked to by Board the World and other major international
snowboarding websites.
- Putting out a magazine every month that includes articles that are both informative and
interesting costs money, which we don't have. You should advertise so we can make
our magazine better.
- Yo Beat is a new enterprise that is only going to grow in the future
and you have a great chance to get in on it early.
If all this isn't convincing enough, see what our readers have to say:
- Your 'zine truly kicks ass! You guys should print this stuff and make
some dough. I'd definitely subscribe! It's so much better than all that
other crap out there. All the other mags are to caught up in the
Olympics and if skiing is taking over snowboarding. You guys are down to
earth and know what you're talking about. You write about stuff boarders
for the most part actually care about! Keep up the good work. -Aaron Bushman
- I'm down wit it, yo! Y'all be speakin my roots language, EBONICS. Seriously though, this
is a good deal you've got goin here. I get embarrassed sometimes because I'll laugh out
loud when discovering past issues and I'm alone in the room. It's cool that some fellow
females are puttin out a mag that no one can discern is that way. In other words, it's
cool that girls are putting out a snowboard magazine that is about ALL people
snowboarding. Anyway, I keep saying things that must sound silly because they don't make
that much sense. I am really enjoying your enterprise and hope you keep giving totally
biased opinions (because I share them) and keep giving me something interesting to read
while I master my life's skill of procrastinating. It's phat too yo, that you represent
the East, even Jersey boys! Thank you, thank you. from Jersey girl Leonora in the home of
the needless Land Rover, Princeton-Leonora Tisdale
- I could be a prick and tell you your magazine is for young dopes on punk and that the
whirrled doesn't need another shredzine BUTT!! The fact that you have the ability to say
very articulate and constructive criticisms about the music you choose to review(which
kicks ass), gives me faith that a young crew can pull this off in a manner that is tight,
professional, and very fucking hip. Keep up the pace and don't abandon your passion for
doing so.-Jeremy Curtis, Killington, VT
- I like your E-rag, it sure beats all the other Internet publications like that god awful
Snowboarder Magazine I just look at. I had good mind to tell them to either get some style
or a web-designer with half a brain. I dig all the focus on the East coast.-Dedalus
Hutchings, Ardmore, PA.
- Just like to say your magazine rocks and it's awesome to see good stuff on the computer
every once in a while. Hope to see many more good issues in the future. I've been reading
it since the beginning and each issue is always better than the last one. Keep up the good
work.-Jeff Hehlen, Portland, Or
- You guys rock and put so much of your time in this mag. Thanx for your effort and keep
up the damn good work. Love and Aloha(your fav surfer fan..)-Riana
- Once again you manage to make me laugh. It is arguable that nobody was
a bigger EI fan than I (probably because they were the only ones giving
us props), but you guys (PC Version: guys/girls) RIP! Love the comment
about snowboarder being your new inspiration because they hired the EI
staff. Great issue, love to see all the work you do, it also helps me stay in
touch with my roots when I travel...I miss so much on the road.
Thanks for telling it like it is.-Dave Olcott, Stimilon International,
Burlington VT
