WE ONLY HAVE ONE PAIR OF BOOTS TO GIVE AWAY, AND THE LUCKY WINNER, SELECTED WITH SUPER HIGH TECH RANDOM DRAWING TECHNOLOGY PROVIDED BY NIKE SNOWBOARDING IS… COREY COX. You may have notice something looks weird and purple around these parts. It’s because we’ve sold out. In other words, Nike Snowboarding is giving us money in hopes you’ll be enticed to buy its new Zoom DK Boots. But while we’ve paid off our cars, houses and now wear thousands of dollars of bling* everywhere we go, we haven’t forgotten the little guys who got us there! So we said to Nike Snowboarding: look you Zombies, if you’re gonna take over the site, we at least wanna give something away. So they agreed to hook up a pair of brand new Nike Zoom DK boots for the YoBeat readership.

How can you win? Well it’s simple really. For the next two weeks we’ll be dropping clues RIGHT HERE. Follow the clues, send us the answer, and you’ll be automatically entered to win. And since there will be new clues every day, you can enter once per clue and increase your odds. Or if you’re feeling lucky or lazy, just enter once.

It’s Over. CONGRATULATIONS TO COREY COX!

Get your answer (it’s readily available at Nikesnowboarding.com) then email it to [email protected] to end. Put something about Nike in the subject and you’re good. Come back tomorrow for another clue and chance to enter for a brand new pair of Nike DK Zoom boots!

  2. A little disappointed, but I guess everyone has a price-and at least it’s not Ballpark Franks.

  3. nike has no business in snowboarding.

  4. ill bring the candy to go with the popcorn

  5. Nike Kaijus are the best boots I have ever worn in 12 years of snowboarding. That amount of money allows them to make a great product and with people like Bobby Meeks in charge, they are heading in a good direction.

  6. i like bobby geeks. miss his boarding.

  7. bobby geeks .. the ladies man .. dropping in

  8. hah. the actual commercial for the boot is pretty entertaining.

  9. and daniel, what’d you eat for breakfast. all up full of hate, eh?

  10. I heard a kid say nike doesn’t belong in Skateboarding or snowboarding the other day, I popped “the search for animal chin” in and made him watch, they used to wear nikes in skateboarding then and to me that was the beginning of what I see as modern skateboarding. They have lots of money and can do tons of R&D. I’m not sayin you should buy them but I personally think their amazing. But I ant gonna sell that shit you sellouts! Just kidding they probably wouldn’t give us a account!

  11. At least Nike knows whats up I guess…

  12. Its a small industry and some of us take shit serious. Someone attacking Parker who does so much for C3 Worldwide and Nor Cal’s scene in my name, is fucking BULLSHIT. Yeah, Im going to have that Milli Vanilli called out.

So what was I starting? Deal with what? NYC Faggot? Really? Thats on some real Internet Thuggin HATE shit.

  13. yobeat,

I don’t know the answer to win the boots but, I am broke and I need some fresh boots. I don’t care what they look like or what logo is on them. I’m a size 12.

    thank you,

    Brandon

  14. nike is only in it for the money … never understood that phrase… cause all other companies are trying to go broke?

  15. nike may have been around the longest but when it comes to the biggest money hungry corporation in sports you can’t throw your money at a lamer company than nike. Nike runs on $$$. anyone that doesn’t wants to argue go ahead and make a fool of yourself… i guess if your ok with your money funding the pink nike tennis rackets in Dicks instead of putting your money back into snowboarding go ahead. be the majority too brainwashed by the corporation.

  16. Did nike start out as a snowboard company?

  17. Nike will take a shit on all of your stupid Internet hating faces

  18. Nike can suck a dick. Go throw your money at big business. so yea? nike is gonna shit on me? well shit, at least im gonna be representing SNOWBOARDING and not mega corporations at their worst.

  19. By sponsoring yobeat, how exactly is Nike not supporting snowboarding?

    just wondering.

  20. Nike is cool and
the rest of the haters are not.

  21. p-rod rides for nike, so it’s fucking sick.

  22. not saying nike boots are the best or the worst…..but you need money to make good product. Nike has money. there is no such thing as “core” anymore…if you were core you wouldnt know what the hell yobeat is. The “industry” is run off money. get over it.

  23. Nike actually got it’s start by Steve Prefontane’s coach who was making custom running flats for him using his wife’s waffle iron to mold the rubber for the soles. So it started as a running company, but I have no problem with it being a snowboard company as well. Just look at all the ski companies that have transferred over to snowboarding. You’re not hating on them too.

  24. I don’t get the hate. Yobeat is making money, someones winning a pair of boots, and the content hasn’t changed to say “OMG NIKE BOOTS MAKE MY DICK HARD.” If you don’t wanna buy the boots then don’t, hell if nike cares if they lost one boot customer.

With that out of the way, the boots look tight, but I wish they’d do a boa system.

  25. @burnzkid Nike ruined running. It used to be so core before they got involved. We used to take weekend trips, cramming 8 dudes into a hotel room, just to go running. Some places (school hallways, pool sides, etc) wouldn’t even let us run.

@Flourcity What are you going on about? NY til you die. We get it.

    @ZombieLauraHadar Call me.

  26. rumorator, that was solid gold.

  27. now i know why they call it yoBEAT

  28. is this already rigged? If not: I’m Alex, I’m on drums, I got the ten and a half.

ps lol rumorator is from midwest he doesn’t know tru running wtf comeon

  29. Now I know why they call it yobEAT.

(because of zombies eating Danny Kass)

  30. Now I know why they call it yoBEAt.

  31. @rumorator I’m not one to start shit, but if you wanna talk about running, i’m game. you wanna do this? come on, get at me.

  32. nike is played

  33. @a. Because its hip and the kids love it.

  34. When it comes to snowboarding and skateboarding, i say fuck the swoosh. Stick to basketball sneakers, teams sports and child labor.

  35. pretty sure NIKE just lucked out. being from the NorthWest, that makes them a cool (wait, hold on) hip brand by default. I mean if they started out in, lets say Londonderry VT. people would talk shit for days and say they ruined snowboarding.

  36. I used to be core, for like 20 years but then I discovered yoBeat this summer, so now im gonna go buy some snoller blades

  37. holy shit pat i am in londonderry vt right now. does that make me pr0?

  38. I think it’s awesome that YoBeat got this hook up from Nike and that the readers have a chance to win. Keep up the good work.

  39. THE POLL SAYS IT ALL. THE READERS OF YOBEAT HAVE SPOKEN!

what does this mean – absolutely nothing.

  40. why is everyone hating on nike? who cares what company it is, snowboarding is snowboarding and if a company big or small wants to support it its all good. nike is doing good things.. fuck yeah!

  41. snowboarding is not core anymore..get over it! There are plenty of things that ruined it being core long before Nike got involved….

    Just have fun!

  42. I’m still not sure about Nike and snowboarding but I know the answer to the question and I sure could use a new pair of new boots. Maybe I’ll win, rock the boots and hate or love them, I’ll make my mind up then

  43. What is “core” anymore? Give it up dummies^^^^^^^^^ Nike makes legit boots. They’re comfy n soft and supportive. and they make me jump higher just like my old air Jordan’s…..

  44. how about you guys just board at the mountain and not judge people on what they wear? you guys are high school girls. really i cant believe this is such a big deal, i wouldn’t think twice if another company started getting involved in the scene. i don’t see how that affects me on the mountain? with more competition the boots will just get better. and as for nike not being a snowboard only company, pretty sure they have teams and the SB team is just snowboarders, unlike some of you say, that they are stiffs that have never ridden a snowboard. out.

  45. everything to be said on a snowboard comment board has already been said. including this. SO fucking repetitive…

  46. Eyebrow threading is really a great technique for removing the hair around your eyebrows. It is much more accurate and I find the shape it gives my eyebrows is amazing!

  47. funny they don’t mention snowboarding in their “action sports” line. but nonetheless, an interesting article on nike.

  48. nice

  49. Burton is worse for snowboarding than Nike. IMO
It’s inevitable, read the history of skateboarding, the highs and lows of there industry. I’m not saying snowboarding will have the low lows as skateboarding has had but when there is money to be made everyone and there mother will be trying to get in. Snowboarding is a business! Just keep having fun and force these comppaniez to keep it that way.

  50. Dave8 doesnt like Nike. Dave8 thinks Nike’s baaaaaaaaad..
